CBH CIRCLE is an Affiliate Partner of the Canadian Bioinformatics Hub.
$650 USD per award (2023, 2024, 2025 cycles; was $500 in 2019 and 2022). Awardees then compete for the separate $200 Student Prize for the top-scoring student presentation.
Must be currently enrolled in full-time or part-time education studying for an undergraduate degree (BSc) or higher degree (MSc, PhD); a current/paid member of the Metabolomics Society continuously for at least 3 months prior to the conference; must submit a conference abstract in the 'Oral or Poster' category; must register for the conference and attend in person.

Submit an abstract in the 'Oral or Poster' category and flag it for the Student Travel Award during abstract submission; membership must be paid and in place by the oral abstract deadline. Student and Early-Career abstracts submitted for travel awards are reviewed by the Scientific Organizing Committee / Conference and Training Committee.
Not eligible for the Metabolomics Society Early-Career Travel Award in the same year. You can only receive one award, either from the Society or from an affiliate/sponsor.

Research match: Primary society meeting for Wishart's field; he has been an International Metabolomics Society member since 2006. Conference themes are Technological Advances; Computational Metabolomics, Statistics and Bioinformatics; Metabolomics in Health and Disease; and Metabolomics of Food, Plants, Environment and Microbes — a direct map onto NMR/MS metabolomics, the HMDB/NP-MRD/MiMeDB/PathBank/MetaboAnalyst database and tool portfolio, cancer biomarkers, precision medicine, and environmental/nutritional metabolomics. Wishart also sits on the EBI-MetaboLights board, which is embedded in this community.
